Overview of the Malden Public Schools: The Malden Public Schools (MPS) is a richly diverse school district located within the Greater Boston area and accessible by the MBTA orange line train.  Malden’s student body comprises approximately 6,800 students who represent 59 different countries and speak 67 different languages. Summary 

Join a small HR team to assist with all HR functions (hiring, onboaring, leaves/FMLA, staff attendance, separations, evaluations, customer service, etc.). Reporting to the Director of Human Resources.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned 

  • Employee onboarding.
  • Responsible for filing, copying, scanning and data entry / record maintenance.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times. 
  • Fields questions and inquiries from employees and former employees
  • Assist with annual staffing cycles (planning, posting vacancies, processing hires, etc.)
  • Oversee CORI/Fingerprinting.
  • Input daily staff attendance.
  • Must have the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Google Suite.
  • Proficient in using data systems, such as Applicant Tracking Systems (TalentEd experience preferred) and staff data systems (ASPEN and/or Vector experience preferred).
  • Experience preparing/drafting data reports.
  • Experience using Autocrat is a plus.
  • Performs any other related duties as directed by the Director of Human Resources.
  • Ability to interact positively with all members of staff, all city departments, parents, and students.
  • The individual must be punctual and have outstanding attendance practices. 

Salary:            Based on experience, 52 week position

 

Hours:              8:00 – 4:00 p.m.
