The Malden Public Schools (MPS) is a richly diverse school district located within the Greater Boston area and accessible by the MBTA orange line train. Media Support Specialist

 

Malden Public Schools is looking for an individual to be employed as a Media Support Specialist to assist the school district in providing yearlong support for all school activity and events held at the school auditorium including the Jenkins Auditorium.

 

Duties

  • Work the light and sound board for all school events at various school auditoriums including the Jenkins Auditorium. This includes rehearsals and final production.
  • Work with the district's hall rental agent to ensure coverage will be provided for rental performances requiring the operation of light and sound board at the Jenkins Auditorium.
  • Work closely with school administrators and be available to video tape or photograph school events.

 

Requirements

  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule which includes weekdays, weekends and evening hours.
  • Must have a working knowledge of sound, light, and video production equipment.
  • Must be able to use a multimedia approach to covering school events.
  • Must be able post material to websites.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must have good time management and communication skills.

 

Salary

  • Hourly rate of $25.00 per hour
