(2  Positions Total - K-8) 

Qualifications (Required): 

1. Valid Massachusetts Teacher Certification in the respective content area of Special Education.
2. Wilson Reading Certification.
3. Successful teaching experience. 
4. Experience modifying and differentiating curriculum for students on IEP’s. 
5. Ability to relate/communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and

administrators. 

6. Teachers must commit to being present for each day of the program. See dates below for more info. 

Qualifications (Preferred):

1. Experience working in the Malden Public Schools.
2. ESL Licensed or SEI Endorsement.
3. License in Special Education.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

1. Participate in two staff development meetings. 
2. Collaborate with the Program Managers and Program Coordinator to plan and implement

schedules for related services on an IEP.

3. Complete planning logs for each session and maintain student attendance records. 
4. Keep folders/portfolios with student work. 
5. Perform other related activities as required by the program coordinator. 
6. Develop Progress Reports at the end of the ESY Program.

Duration: 

Program Administration and Implementation 101 hours total to include the following: 

• Professional In-service Days June 25 - 26 (3 hours each day).  
• 19 days, Monday-Thursday, from July 1 – August 1  (7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m).
• Please not no classes will be held on July 4th.

Stipend: $37 an hour, $3,737 total
