Summer 2024 - ESY Tutor

(4  Positions Total - K-12) 

Qualifications (Required): 

1. Valid Massachusetts Teaching certification in the areas of content or Special Education.
2. Successful experience as a teacher.
3. Experience modifying and implementing curriculum for students who are being served with an IEP. 
4. Ability to relate /communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators. 
5. Teachers must commit to being present for each day of the program. See dates below for more info.  

Qualifications (Preferred):

1. Experience working in the Malden Public Schools.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

1. Participate in two staff development meetings. 
2. Collaborate with the Program Coordinator to plan and implement ESY Curriculum for students needing drop in tutoring hours.
3. Complete planning logs for each session and maintain student attendance records. 
4. Collect data to prepare progress reports for the students you have serviced.
5. Perform other related activities as required by the program coordinator. 

Duration: 

Program Administration and Implementation 101 hours total to include the following: 

• Professional In-service Days June 25 - 26 (3 hours each day).  
• 19 days, Monday-Thursday, from July 1 – August 1  (7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m).
• Please not no classes will be held on July 4th.

Stipend: $37 an hour, $3,737 total
